Ada Hegerberg Norway, soccer player , a vocal advocate of ladies competitors/athletes, made the history Monday when she became the Ballon d'Or winner 2018, a honor respecting the world's best soccer players.
The 23-year-old wins in Ballon d'Or voting by jury for the award for the first time since it is introduced in 1956.
Ballon d'Or winner joined Lyon in 2014 and since then she has helped the club complete three domestic doubles and win the Women's Champions League in each of the last three seasons.
