Lady Gaga performs in India: putting on lettuce dress to promote vegetarianism.

Lettuce dress is somewhat like this
The mega-selling stylist singer, a great supporter of gay marriage and sex symbol Lady Gaga will wear a lettuce dress (a dress made out of lettuce) during her sojourn in New Delhi this weekend. Indian animal rights activists  have asked pop star Lady Gaga to pose in a lettuce dress and embrace vegetarianism during her visit to India this weekend, where she will be part of the star-studded unveiling of the country's first Formula 1 race.

The pop superstar will be performing at an invitation-only show in a five-star hotel in New Delhi after the race on Sunday October 30. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), India is doing this for promoting vegetarianism and importance of not eating meat. To do that is to set a counter example as she once in MTV Vedio Music Award 2010 wore meat dress.

"We'll make her a dress entirely of lettuce," says org rep Sachin Bangera. "It will be a full-length gown, and we'll make sure it looks sexy." "If she agrees, we'll make her a dress entirely of lettuce and held together by pins and threads. It will be a full length gown, and we'll make sure it looks sexy," said Sachin Bangera of PETA India.

The dress, which is designed by Naeem Khan, an Indian American designer, would be constructed leaf by leaf on the singer's body, taking some five to six hours. "Someone will be on hand to spray the lettuce with water so that it doesn't wilt," Bangera added.

The pop diva promised, "I have been dying to get to India, so count on it. I am going to put all my heart and soul into it." She also said, "Expect a special stage. I am collaborating with Indian deejays for it. I will have Indian influences in my get-up too and some more surprises in store for you."
